Would anyone have split his empire into two and added value immediately to the share price? Well Rupert Murdoch did a couple of weeks back and now he has stood down from the newspapers side which must have been a wrench considering how much he adores them.
Will he sell them? I doubt it but if he is removed from chairing either company by shareholder revolts he will sell the newspapers.
